Desperate Wrong-Wingers are inventing more and more “Alternative” facts as they slide toward irrelevance, mostly by their own doing. Today it’s a new “Axis of Evil”, namely the leaders in woke investing to save humanity and the Earth. Real MoneyTM, real lives, and our only real planet.
But first, Truth Brigade staff wants us to share these items, and debunk the hypocrisies involved.
What We're Seeing This Week
- This year’s CPAC conference features a variety of extremist speakers who are spotlighting the most prominent propaganda and disinformation narratives. PolitiFact has a rolling list of fact-checks on claims relating to fentanyl overdoses, the IRS, parents rights, and more.
- As the Supreme Court considers the future of student loan debt cancellation, far-right networks are pushing outrageous claims about the policy, likening it to everything from Marxism to voter fraud to discouraging higher education in general.
- A fake video of President Biden is circulating that appears to show him announcing a new national draft, in which 20-year-olds would be conscripted into military service to help US efforts in Ukraine. The video, which has been shared by several prominent far-right influencers, is the result of an artificial intelligence generated deepfake.
But there’s more!
- Have you heard that Kelly-Alt-Facts Conway and her husband George are divorcing?
- Have you heard about CPAC’s new Axis of Evil?
- How about Walgreen caving to Wrong-Wing pressure, and refusing to sell medication abortion pills even in states where they are legal?
- Biden’s announcement that he won’t let DC have its newly adopted legal code?
- Proposal in TX to outlaw Internet Web sites providing info on abortion?
- Mississippi proposing to outlaw citizen initiatives supporting abortion?
Chris Hayes had to laugh at the idea of Republicans in Mississippi being afraid of losing a popular vote on abortion.
