Last week we considered how to start on the Buddha’s path. All other koans are about where the path leads, which turns out not to be a destination. We can talk about awakening in many ways, but then we need to talk about staying awake. So today we consider walking that path forever, and also not being on any path at all, because, as always, there is no-one to be on the path. In fact, the Heart Sutra explicitly states that there is no Eightfold Path. Who, therefore, and where, are you?
The journey is hindered by arrival, but definitely not hindered by non-arrival.
